What is the difference between Automatic, Custom and Now when scheduling social media posts?

These options give you the most flexibility when you are creating a social media post with DrumUp.

1. Automatic is the default option.  When you first setup DrumUp, the system creates an optimal social media schedule automatically for each of your connected social accounts (for example, 3 posting slots each day during your timezone's work hours, 8am to 5pm in your timezone).  And when you select "Automatic" as your Publishing time option, that post goes into the first available automatic slot for each of the selected social accounts.  So the complete workflow is very automated and optimal.

Of course the automatic schedule that DrumUp creates by default for each social account can be easily updated at any time based on your personal needs.  You have two options.  Either select how many posts you want to go out each day (distributed evenly throughout the working day in your time zone) or you can craft a very personalized scheduled where you can pick each slot by day of week and specific time of the day.  Again you can do this by going to the settings for each social account under the Publisher tab.

2. Custom Publishing Time is simple.  You get to pick the date and time the post is published to the social network(s).  This will  supersede any automatic or custom schedules that you have at the individual social account level (see above settings)

3. Now Publishing Time is the most straight-forward option.  With this setting the post goes out to the social network as soon as you hit the "Schedule" button (NOTE: there is about a 2 minute delay for the system to process and the social network to accept and actually make the post public when using a 3rd party application like DrumUp)
